The proven combination of vitamin E and selenium to support the muscles
Vitamin E and selenium are essential for the function and structure of heart and skeletal muscles. A deficiency of vitamin E can lead to degenerative changes in the muscles. A lack of selenium can also disrupt the entire immune system and lead to muscle sensitivity. The amount that a horse needs of these important nutrients per day increases with increasing muscle performance and horses with higher protein contents also need more selenium in their feed. The targeted addition of the essential nutrients vitamin E and selenium is particularly important in sport horse feeding. Sport horses have to perform increased muscle work and therefore need more vitamin E and selenium than horses with less muscle strain. For optimal utilization of vitamin E and selenium in the metabolism, Super-E 100 also contains selenium vitamin C. Since the supply of essential amino acids (building blocks for the muscles) is often limited in sport horses, Super-E 100 also provides the essential amino acid lysine.
