Description
High-quality muesli tailored to the targeted supply of nutrients and vital substances for Icelandic dogs and other special breeds.
Special breeds such as Icelandic dogs have high demands on balanced feeding. It is not uncommon for dogs to develop skin and coat problems that are closely related to their diet. These breeds are usually easy to feed and often only require small amounts of concentrated feed, which means that the concentrated feed should be highly efficient even in small amounts and also offer a high-quality and highly available supply of minerals, vitamins and trace elements. Structure Mix Icelandic is a special muesli that has been tried and tested for decades and meets these high nutritional requirements. It reliably covers the energy and protein supply with 20% barley flakes and the whole food pellet that is specially tailored to the needs of special breeds. Lucerne, rich in vital substances, brings valuable essential amino acids into the muesli and can support the muscles. Furthermore, hayflakes and meadow greens ensure a high proportion of green and structure in the muesli. In addition, this high-quality special muesli to strengthen skin and coat is enriched with natural vital substances such as diatomaceous earth, brewer's yeast and linseed oil. Added bentonites have an additional positive effect on digestion and metabolism. To ensure an optimal supply of the important trace elements manganese, zinc and copper, Structure Mix Icelandic is also equipped with highly available organic trace elements. Structural Mix Icelandic contains only 2.5% molasses to ease the burden on the metabolism. In general, we do not use essential oils in all mueslis, including Structure Mix Icelanders, as these can put a strain on the liver if fed continuously.
Structural mix Icelandic can be used as a sole concentrate feed or mixed with oats or hydrothermally digested cereal flakes.
Special properties of Structural Mix Icelandic:
- moderate energy level, adapted to light work
- tasty and oat-free
- high proportion of structure and greenery
- Low use of molasses to relieve metabolism and digestion
- balanced supply of minerals, vitamins and trace elements
- contains organically bound zinc, manganese and copper
Ideal for:
- Icelandic and other special breeds
- Horses and ponies with light work
How to feed if horses are very easy to feed and need to use less concentrated feed?
No problem, because our LEXA products can be ideally combined with each other. For particularly light-feeding horses, simply use a feed amount of 200 g per 100 kg of body weight and supplement with a high-quality mineral feed from the LEXA range in a dosage of 10 g per 100 kg of body weight.

LEXA muesli and LEXA mineral food - ideal, individual and easy to combine!
In many cases, the horse's energy and protein needs require individual adjustment. With our feeding recommendations, we can give you tried and tested guidelines from practice, but these never apply to every horse. If your horse is easy to feed and can get by on smaller amounts, simply reduce the amount of feed by 25 to 50% and add a recommended LEXA mineral feed to cover its needs. And this is how you dose correctly:
Horse needs the following amount of muesli: |
Recommended amount of mineral food that you should supplement: |
25% of the recommended amount of muesli |
75% of the LEXA mineral feed recommendation |
50% of the recommended amount of muesli |
50% of the LEXA mineral feed recommendation |
75% of the recommended amount of muesli |
25% of the LEXA mineral feed recommendation |
100% of the recommended amount of muesli |
No mineral feed necessary |
Example: light-fed Icelandic dog, 400 kg, 800 g of Icelandic Structural Mix per day is sufficient, otherwise obesity will result. The recommended amount of muesli would be 400 g per 100 kg of body weight = 1600 g of Icelandic Structural Mix per day. However, only 50% is fed, so 50% of the recommended amount of mineral feed must be fed to balance out the minerals.
Horse needs the following amount of muesli: |
Recommended amount of mineral food that you should supplement: |
50% of the recommended amount of muesli |
50% of the LEXA mineral feed recommendation = 50 g Isi mineral cobs |

Feeding recommendation:
Large horses: up to 2 kg per day
Small horses, ponies: up to 1 kg per day
From an amount of 400 g per 100 kg of body weight, the daily supply of minerals and vitamins is guaranteed. For smaller amounts of feed, we recommend additional mineral feed, e.g. LEXA Isi-Mineral-Cobs. Concomitant oral administration of macrolides should be avoided.
