Description
Oat-free, whole-food muesli in premium quality for pregnant and lactating mares and breeding stallions.
From the 7th month of pregnancy onwards, the pregnant mare has special feeding requirements. The daily need for protein increases by 1.25 to 1.4 times and the need for calcium also increases significantly. Feed should therefore be used that meets this increased requirement for qualitative and quantitative protein supply. Based on these scientifically based requirements, Vitalmix Breeding contains high-dose protein from alfalfa, flax expeller, peeled sunflower seeds and brewer's yeast. This not only covers the increased protein requirements during high pregnancy and lactation, but also ensures a high proportion of essential amino acids (including lysine). For optimal energy supply, we use 35% corn and 24% barley flakes in the selected recipe, which, like all LEXA premium mueslis, are produced according to food standards and therefore achieve the absolute highest quality. The targeted composition of the whole food pellet covers the breeding mare's high need for vitamins, minerals and trace elements, because an adequate supply of zinc, copper, iodine and selenium is an essential prerequisite for the healthy development of the foal directly in the womb and is also a determining factor for optimal development milk yield. To ensure high biological availability of essential trace elements, Vitalmix breeding also contains organically bound zinc, copper and manganese. ß-Carotene improves the vitamin supply of foals and mares in a high-quality way. Alfalfa, brewer's yeast and flax expander, which are rich in vital substances, also support the sensitive digestive tract.
Vitalmix breeding is suitable as the sole concentrated feed for broodmares and in combination with oats. The requirement is met from a dose of 500 g per 100 kg of body weight. For smaller amounts of feed and for hay that is particularly low in minerals, we recommend the additional use of breeding mineral, the high-quality LEXA mineral feed for broodmares.

Feeding recommendation:
Large horses: up to 2 kg per day
Small horses, ponies: up to 1 kg per day
From an amount of 500 g per 100 kg of body weight, the daily supply of minerals and vitamins is guaranteed. For smaller amounts of food, we recommend additional administration of LEXA breeding mineral .
Please note:
For breeding mares, particular attention should be paid to the hygienic quality of feed. Avoid any hygienic contamination in the hay, straw and also in the grain used, as this can quickly lead to colic and abortion in the foal.
Only use high-quality hay, straw and pasture as basic feed.
